If you already have a bunch of baby goodies from a first child, or maybe just an overzealous grandma, ask guests to donate to your favorite charity in place of bringing a gift to the shower. You’ll get some warm fuzzy feelings from it, guaranteed.
Buy Practical Gifts with a Bit of Luxury
Another mark of a celebrity shower is practical gifts that are above and beyond the ordinary. These are things moms can use everyday like blankets and booties, but they’re a little bit special. Jennifer Garner’s presents for daughter Violet were all embroidered with the new addition’s name, while Tori Spelling received luxurious fuzzy angora booties. Buy quality presents for a baby shower that you know will last a long time and be appreciated by mom-to-be.
In reality, throwing a baby shower like the stars is very simple. Focus on quality and having a good time. Recruit lots of helpers and don’t get stressed, you don’t see celebrities going to their baby showers bald because they ripped out their hair in a fit of stress.
